| Q:
How do I add my licensed JAC Serial Number to the JustAddCommerce
program?
A:
Once you have installed JustAddCommerce successfully on your
computer you will need to launch the program in your editor.
The first time you start JustAddCommerce by activating any
of the JustAddCommerce functions, you will see the JustAddCommerce
License Manager. Even though you are a new user, you will
want to select the Existing User or Add Previous
License option from the pull down menu. This will activate
the JustAddCommerce Serial Number field allowing you
to enter the Serial number given to you at the time of purchase.
You may also add the licensed JAC Serial number to the program
by accessing the JAC License Manager via the JAC
Administration button within the JAC program. Please
note: If you do not manually enter the JAC Serial number
that was given to you at the time of purchase, a Demo number
will be automatically installed in your JAC program. A Demo
Serial number and a Registered Serial number cannot be on the
same web site, as the orders will not go into the correct (Registered)
account.
Q:
Can I manage more than one copy of JAC on my computer? A:
Yes. JAC has a license manager tool that allows you to easily
switch between the licenses you want to work on. You simply
open the License Manager within the JAC Administration section
of the JAC Menu Bar, click on the license you want to work
with, set it as your current copy and you are ready to work! Q:
I just renewed my JAC account but the account is still locked.
How long does it take to unlock the account? A:
A sales associate must manually process your renewal order
because the renewal process is not done in real time. When
we've completed processing your renewal, an email confirmation
will be sent to you from our sales department. Renewals are
processed during our regular business hours (Monday - Friday
9:00am - 5:30pm MT) and will be completed within 1-3 hours
after you've submitted your renewal. Q:
Can I accept International orders? A:
Yes. When creating the checkout form for JAC, there is an "Accept
International Orders" feature that you can enable to
add a drop down country list to the checkout form. This allows
customers from all over the world to shop from your site. Q:
I am about to change host (ISP) companies. How will this
affect my JAC Shopping cart? A:
Because JAC is stored on our secure Transaction Networks, moving
host companies does not affect the way that your cart works.
Once you upload your web pages to your new host, you will be
able to continue taking orders as before. There are no server
side requirements or limitations on ISP companies. Q:
Do I have to re-create my buttons to edit Purchase button
information? A:
No. With JAC, editing is as simple as opening up your pages
with buttons on them in either FrontPage or Dreamweaver and
then double clicking on the purchase button. Doing this will
launch the JAC Purchase button screen where you are able to
edit your information. You can even copy and paste purchase
buttons to different pages without worrying about HTML. All
you have to do is click on the button, copy and then paste
it where you would like the new button to be located. Q:
Do I get emailed when an order is placed? A:
Yes. Once you've setup your email settings in the JAC General
Account settings area, you and your customer will get notified
when an order is placed. The email will show the items ordered
as well as the customer information without the complete
credit card number. Passing credit card information via email
is not secure, therefore, only the last 4 digits of the credit
card number will appear in the email. Q:
I just got notified of an order but cannot fill it because
the credit card number does not show. How do I fill my order? A:
The email notification that you receive is for your convenience
and does not include the complete credit card number for security
purposes. Once you receive the order email notification, you
will need to retrieve the order that is stored securely within
your JAC Account on our Transaction Networks. Your account
is accessed by either launching JAC within your editor and
using your password, or by using a Retrieve Orders button you
have created and saved in a file on your computer desktop or
uploaded on a hidden page on your web site that only you can
access via the Internet. Once the order is viewed within your
account, you can process the credit card number (if using the
Standard version) or it will have been processed for you (if
using the Real Time version) and you can fill the order and
ship it to your customer. Q:
I am going on vacation and will be away from my computer.
I need the ability to retrieve my orders from other computers.
How do I do this? A:
As long as you will have Internet connectivity, you are able
to access your JAC Account. You can either access your account
using the direct link to the JAC Networks which grants access
using your JAC Serial Number and your password, or you may
build a Retrieve Orders button and upload it to a hidden page
on your web site that only you can access via the Internet. Q:
I use the JAC Real Time version and have been approved for
a Merchant account. How do I know that an order has been
processed?
A:
When an order is placed using the enabled JAC Real Time
version, a yellow stripe with an approval number will appear
on the order. Next to the approval number, you will find
information in parentheses (i.e.: AVS Match). AVS stands
for Address Verification System.
The information in the parentheses will state whether the
billing information entered on the checkout form matches
the billing
information for the credit card. The AVS codes are very important
and they should be used as guides in deciding whether you
should ship the product or not. If the AVS does not match,
we recommend
calling the customer and verifying that the purchase was
not fraudulent before shipping. |
