Data Export
JustAddCommerce
Data Export is an optional feature that is used to export
your Customer information in text format from the JAC Network
into your local computer. You may use this to export your
data into third party programs such as Microsoft Excel, Access,
Intuit Quickbooks, or any other program that supports data
import from text files. The steps and specific format requirements
for exporting your data are specified below:
Steps
to Exporting Data:
- 1. Select the data base fields to export - choose the
fields that you would like to export into your database
or accounting program. Please note that selecting the Customer
Details field will increase the time that is required to
process this information for you.
- 2. Select the time frame to export - choose the time frame
in which you would like the Order Data to come from. Please
note that ONLY those orders that are NOT deleted will be
exported. Additionally, selecting time ranges that include
thousands of orders will take a long time to process and
may cause your browser to time out. We highly recommend
that you select time ranges that are short (ex. one month
at a time) in order to avoid browser time out issues.
- 3. Click the Export Data to Text File button - this will
process your Order Data on our Networks and create a text
file from the order data.
- 4. Save this data as a text file in your browser. Be certain
that this data is saved as a text file not as a html file.
- 5. Import the data into the third party program of your
choice. The data format should be entered as follows in
order to properly import the data into a third party program:
NOTE:
Only your customer information will be exported. The
products ordered attached to the order cannot be exported.
Due to how the JAC Network System works it was not possible
for our engineers to include this in the export feature.
Only orders that
are still in your account can be exported. Orders that
are deleted cannot be exported
Data Format:
- Tab delimited
- No text
qualifier
- First line
is data field names
Recommendation: After
exporting your data we recommend that you save all of your JAC order
data on your local computer. We also recommend that you keep 30 days
of information in your JAC account on our network and delete any
prior order data in order to speed the processing time of your JAC
account.
