The JustAddCommerce Insert Purchase Button will allow you to add purchase buttons to all products you sell on your site. The Purchase Button details section allows you to fill out the SKU, price, description, weight, and look of your button for each product.

The JustAddCommerce Purchase Button Details

Product Identifier(SKU)

The information entered in this field is how JustAddCommerce recognizes each product. The product identifier must be unique for every product. This can be a mixture of letters and numbers (ex: 34-RE89 or GH-89898-IK), and there are no limits on length. If two or more products have the same SKU number, JustAddCommerce will not know how to calculate the shopping cart properly. For example: If product A has the SKU number: A1234 and Product B also has the SKU number as A1234, when product B is clicked on the information that is added to the shopping cart is all the information related to product A. If the SKU number for product B is changed to B1234, when clicking on the button all information related to product B will be added to the shopping cart. This is why it is very important that all product identifiers have unique numbers. 

Product Price

Each purchase button must have a price entered in the provided field. You do not need to add a currency symbol in this field since it is entered in the currency section of your JAC account.

Line Description

Each purchase button must have a description typed in the provided field. This is the description your customers will see when they open the shopping cart. It is best to keep the description short and concise. For example, instead of entering the following product description: "Nokia Hand Held Cellular Telephone Model 8260" it may be best to enter something like: "Nokia Cell (Model 8260)." Please Note: If you are using the JAC Real Time version with Authorize.Net as your credit card processing company, do not add any characters in your description. (Ex: 100% Wool Sweater should say Wool Sweater in the description)

Shipping Weight

Enter the product's shipping weight. If you choose to charge for shipping according to weight, you must enter the shipping weight for each product. Your measurement of weight needs to be consistent throughout your site. For example if most of your items weigh more than a pound but a few products are in ounces, you must convert the ounces to pounds.

Free Shipping

Check this box if you would like this particular product to ship at no extra charge.  NOTE: If you use UPS OnLine® Rates as your shipping option or add a base rate or extra charges to the shipping cost, this feature will be overridden.

Non-Taxable

When the "Non-Taxable" box is checked, the user will not be charged tax for this item when he submits the order. You can have both taxable and non-taxable items on the same page or in the same web site. In most cases, all tangible items are taxable, while service items are non-taxable.

Don't Jump To Shopping Cart

When this box is checked, your customers will not be sent to the shopping cart screen every time they click a purchase button. This means, they can continue shopping without viewing the contents in their shopping cart until they are ready to do so. If you decide to use this feature, make sure you have a JustAddCommerce "View Shopping Cart" button visible on each page of your site. The "View Shopping Cart " button is the only way your customers can continue shopping if this feature is added.

Purchase Button is a Form Button

JustAddCommerce inserts a standard push form purchase button for you. The look of the button cannot be changed but the caption can be changed to anything you like. 

Purchase Button is an Image

Instead of using the standard push form purchase button that JAC inserts, you can use your own image as your buttons. Choose from the drop down menu provided where you want to retrieve your graphic. Load image relative to this page or Load image from web page. When choosing the "Load image relative to this page" option, the open folder icon will activate allowing you to locate the path of the graphic you are adding to your page. Once the graphic is selected the path will appear in the provided field. If you choose the "Load image from web page" option, enter the URL address of the path to the graphic in the field provided.

Purchase Button Caption

This area allows you to name your purchase button rather then using the default "Add to Shopping Cart" caption. Enter the desired purchase button name in the field.
